MSN adCenter News
adCenter Open Enrollment

On Monday, March 6, for approximately 3 hours starting at
9 AM Pacific Standard Time, Microsoft will be holding "open
enrollment" for adCenter applicants. This means that
applicants will be accepted even if they have not received an
invitation from Microsoft. In other words, anyone can join!

During the 3-hour window, advertisers can go directly to
adCenter (
http://adcenter.msn.com/) and get started right
away. Those who sign up during this time will be asked to pay
a $5 sign-up fee with a credit card, and then they’ll have instant
access to their account to begin creating ads. See the Microsoft
Watch forum of our Discussion Board for more Microsoft news.

MSN® adCenter is the keywords bidding model for MSN Search. You control the costs by bidding on keywords relevant to your business. And using research and reporting tools, you can make informed decisions about your campaigns before submitting an ad and after you have analyzed its performance. Find out more about MSN adCenter and how it can help you reach your business goals from http://advertising.msn.com/msn-adcenter/learning-center/faqs.

MSN adCenter service is Microsoft's attempts to go into the pay-per-click market. This market is currently dominated by Google Adwords.

MSN adCenter is in beta testing stage and it opened to US only. Hence, there are improvement and quirks that occurred once in a while. For example, it has an inefficient way to delete and re-add rejected keywords. However, I am sure with Microsoft's research strength thrown behind it, such issues will be addressed soon. Besides, the ROI in this PPC is very high at the moment.

Hence, MSN adCenter is definitely worth checking out.
