Two Latest Additions To Amazon That Help You To Sell Better

If you are an affiliate selling books, then most likely you are an associate for Amazon, one of the World's biggest online bookstore. The updates below would be good news to you.

Recently I noticed that Amazon has added 2 free tools to their associate central member area. They are namely the Omakase Links (beta) and aStore (Beta). I have done some testings with these 2 tools and below are my observations.

First Addition: Omakase Links (beta)

This is a javascript which automatically feature products that visitors to the page are most likely to buy. With Omakase Links, you do not need to chose which product, product line or even keyword that best fits a page. The algorithms will optimize product offerings based on what you has been successful with in the past; what that user has been interested in; as well as what the site is about.

You can choose the available options and the format of the ads to be shown on your site. Treat this like an Adsense ads and blend it into your site (eg. match it to the colour scheme of your webpage for higher click-through).

In my testing, I found that the webpage must be viewed a few times (in one niche, it took around 4 times) before Omakase Links will optimize the ads for that page. For example, on 1 of my site focusing on Adsense articles, it was able to show recomendation for Adsense books correctly.

However, on another niche site, irrelevant ads still shows up no matter how many times I viewed the page. This affected my click-through-rate on those webpage. Imagine seeing an Amazon ad on "Teleseminar Marketing" on my Bakery site and you understand why this is not helping in my sales.Nevertheless, this is still a good tool to use on your website. Do TEST it out before you fully deployed it for your niche.

On another note, as this tool uses its algorithm to detect what the site is about, I have a gut feel that you would not be able to place an Adsense ads and a Omakase ads on the same webpage. This could be a violation of Google Adsense TOS if you do so. Google does not allow a similar contextual-text ads to be on the same webpage that its Adsense ads are on.

So for the moment, avoid placing Amazon Omakase and Google Adsense ads on the same webpage.

Second Addition: aStore (beta)

This new aStore can be embedded on your site so when visitors order they never leave your site and it appears as though the shopping cart is right on your domain. One of the ways Amazon suggests doing this is with an iframe. Below are my observations of this new tool:

You can add a maximum of 9 products on 1 storefront. You choose and decide which 9 products (eg. books, CD etc) to be included. One suggestion to consider, group your storefront on 1 topic so that it serves you better.
You have 8 themes to choose from. You can also change the colours of the background, fonts and what to displayed. You can also set the title of your stores and make it to fit into your site. However in my testing, I found that you can only setup 1 Amazon aStore. You cannot customize multiple stocks for different niches. If you need that functionality, wait for my review in next issue. I am experiment using another tool. You can see that separate testing page at my Internet Book Store here.
aStore allows you to present your Amazon store in 3 ways (I test out 2 of the methods):
- As a simple link to your store as a standalone site
- Embed the store using an inline frame
- Embed my store using a frameset.
The later 2 options would blend better into your website.
I noticed that due to the way Amazon is displaying the store, your page is recommending to be at least 700 pixel wide. If you have a smaller width, part of your store will be hidden (see my example above). You should also add some content for the embed store so that the search engine can spider your storefront.

These two additions by Amazon is definitely a good step towards helping its affiliate in promoting its products. You no longer need to play around with datafeeds handling if this meets your requirement. Do test around this tool.

Don't Use "Web Law Generator" Or You Will Be Sued!

The most talk-about news in the Internet Marketing space in Aug 06 must be on the product "Web Law Generator" that had violated the copyright of Bob Silber. Bob is now out to protect his rights by threatening to sue those who continues to use the templates generated from this tool.

For those unfamiliar, "Web Law Generator" is a $47 software tool that was sold on the Internet with Master Resell Rights. It was meant to help create Legal templates that you can place on your website (for your TOS or disclaimer etc)

Bob Silber (owner of the Legal templates) claims that he had not given out his rights for those Legal templates to be sold. Hence, he is seriously looking into this. He contacted and threatened to sue some of the big marketers such as Mike Filsaime. To be fair to those marketers, they were not aware of this infringement in the first place when they use the tool.

In the end, this was settled by paying $3,000 to buy over the rights for those templates by each marketers who wants to continue to use the templates.

Hence, if you are using "Web Law Generator" to generate any templates for your site, take my advice and take them down immediately!

If you are looking for alternatives, try the following:

Option 1: Get Your Lawyers To Help You Craft The TOS, disclaimers etc

This is an expensive option but you should consider this if you are running a serious and big business. This should be part of your business expenses. Don't save on pennies and paid pounds in the end.

Option 2: Check Out the Legal Resources Sites

I got the following tips from Charles Smith. You may find useful forms in these two free legal resource sites:

Lectric Law Library Forms ( http://www.lectlaw.com/form.html )This site claims to be the largest collection of free legal forms on the Web. Forms are divided into two broad areas: law practice and business and general. There is also a section on Premium Forms that links to the commercial vendor U.S. Legal Forms, Inc. where forms can be purchased. Law practice forms are subdivided into general practice and litigation. Most of these forms are free, however, use diligence in checking their accuracy, currency, and validity
Another source for free legal forms is from the Internet Legal Resource Guide( http://www.ilrg.com/forms/ ).These forms cover a variety of topics, including basic agreements, employment, leases, transfers, and other areas of legal practice.

Review of "Adsense Real Estate" membership site

This is a followup on my previous posting "Do You Own Any Virtual Adsense Real Estate?" at http://wealthmountains.blogspot.com/2006/08/do-you-own-any-virtual-adsense-real.html

Wow, as expected the launch of "Adsense Real Estate" was heavily promoted by a few big guns during the week of its launch. Michael Cheney as usual has done up a video which shows the pros and cons of this membership site.

Below is my take on this huge membership site.

1. First on the Pricing

The initial investment for AdsenseRealEstate is $397. Thereafter, you are offered 3 different levels:

Agent Membership - $197 per month: 2 Unique Sites per month + 4 Pre-made Sites (unique to this membership level)
Developer Membership - $247 per month: 3 Unique Sites per month + 6 Pre-made Sites (unique to this membership level)
Mogul Membership - $297 per month: 4 Unique Sites per month + 8 Pre-made Sites (unique to this membership level)

No doubt this will look steep to most online newbies. Hence, I find that this service is not for everyone. It is only for serious Adsense Earners who knows what Adsense is about and wants to an extra help to build up his/her Adsense Real Estate fast.

To illustrate this point further on how to benefit from this membership site, let's assume you are on Agent membership (ie. Level 1). You get 6 sites in 1 month of which 2 are customized based on your request.

For comparison purpose, I do an averaging. At $197,

Each websites need to earn $32.83 (=197 / 6) in 1 month
Each websites need to earn $1.09 (=32.83 / 30) in 1 day

To meet the above target, you NEED TO CHOOSE YOUR NICHE wisely. If you choose the wrong niche, you could be only paid pennies for each clicks.

This means you need to go for those competitive niches (eg. financial) Choose your keywords carefully when you submit them to "Adsense Real Estate" for creation. This will ensure you get a better chance of beating the average.

Bottomline: Plan your keywords well and let them help you build the site.

2. Second on getting Traffic

Even if you have a great Adsense website, you will not earn UNLESS you get TRAFFIC! This is often the missing key that I see missing in most newbies sites.

At "Adsense Real Estate", they provided the following:

Free Link to a PR5 Website - If you purchase one of their content sites they will place a One Way Anchored Text Link on their PR5 Web Design Site that will help get your site spidered quickly and help with your Page Rank. I understand this link will remain on the site as long as you are a member.
Link Network - They are developing a link network to link members sites together and help build back links to your sites.

The above will help you get your website indexed. Depending on how the PR5 website link is setup, it may help to bring traffic to your websites.

Unfortunately as at the time of writing this review, the above 2 points are not ready for review. Hence, I am not able to comment on its effectiveness. But in theory, it will help (when done correctly).

However, having said the above, do remember to check out the 24-pages eBook "Generating Traffic Report" under their "Tools And Resources" sections. It contains 8 ways to help generate traffic to your websites.

3. Tools in the members area

The Videos and Tools in the member areas is most useful for those who are just starting out. There are videos tutorial series showing how to:

Use your hosting cPanel
Use your Wordpress Blogging tool

There are a big handful of useful ebooks and tools in their "Tools And Resources". This includes

Generating Traffic
Understanding Adsense
Easy Article Submitter
ARE Google Sitemap Creator
Profitable Article Marketing

Push Button Article Re-Writer
RSS Feed Submitter
... and much more

Depending on your level of expertise, you will find some which are of use to you. I understand that the owner Jon is going to add more to this sections.

There are also other sections in the member areas which are still under construction. But it does gives you an idea of what's coming. Some neat add-ons like community-based forums, content resources, social bookmark sites etc.

4. In conclusion

After looking at the features offer, this would be a good tool to add to your Google Adsense arsenal IF you know what to plan for. The tools and resources provided are excellent. However, if you are new and don't have an idea of where the profitable niches are (ie. the high-paying keywords), then you may want to wait and learn elsewhere first before hopping on this ride.

I visited this site upon recommendation from a friend and I was very impressed to say the least. I've heard of Virtual Real Estate (VRE) and how people are making tons of money developing it but I don't have the time or skills to do it myself.

Introduction to Forex

The Forex or foreign exchange is also known as FX, and can be traded upon by anyone from home who has an internet connection and some knowledge.

The great thing about being a beginner to forex trading is you can trade using "monopoly" money if you want to.

Most people have the belief that trading currency is extremely risky and a gamble. However there are many ways to technically analyse the market and identify the pattern of the movement to the point we can instigate "good" trades on a consistent basis.

So, how would you like a change of direction. For example, imagine if in two weeks from now you were confident enough and skilled enough to place trades on a daily basis which give you a consistent yield of $200-500 per day.

It's very possible with the correct training. There is a high risk involved though, it's true. If you don't have as much covered as possible with regard to the basis of your decision to trade. If your psychology is not right, you won't stand a chance.

The forex never sleeps. 24 hours per day from sunrise in Australia through to sundown in New York, banks and retail investors trade. Banks in the multimillions.

It must be said, take your time to learn about the forex and what you should do before diving in with a LIVE account and blasting away capital like your on drugs. You can do it. But do it right.

Currency is traded in pairs. That means, as you buy one currency you automatically sell the other currency in the pair. Examples of pairs are the EUR/USD or the Euro against the US dollar, GBP/USD or 'cable' or 'pound dollar' because there used to be a cable relaying info under the ocean from Europe to US. Another example is the USD/CHF or the dollar against the swiss franc - 'dollar-swiss' or even 'swissy'.

The left hand currency is known as the base currency and the quoted price is always how much of the right hand currency can be exchanged for 1 unit of the base currency or vice versa.

So for example a quote of 1.6452 on the GBP/USD means for every 1 pound you sell you get 1.6452 US dollars. Similarly if you were to buy the pound, the rate is 1.6452USD to the pound.

Currency is traded in lots, multiples of lots or for the retail investor sometimes, in fractions of lots. One lot is equal to 100,000 units of the base currency in a pair.

In the above example, buying 1 lot on the GBP/USD means you are buying 100,000pounds and automatically selling 164,520USD.

Profits are made on the forex market much like in any business, but with a twist. You can aim to buy and then sell at a higher price. For example you buy your 100,000GBP automatically selling 164,520USD at the rate 1.6452 and the price quoted rises to 1.6587. You then close your position on the market which means you are doing the reverse really. You have made a profit of 35 pips or points because the price has moved up 35 pips or points [the last 2 decimal places]. The 'big figure' is the 2 numbers after the decimal point generally. Buying and selling at a higher price can be likened to traditional business in that you buy wholesale or cheaper and sell for a profit. Being in a position that you want or predict will rise is called long position.

The twist in forex is short-selling or being able to sell and then buy back at a cheaper price for profit. The reverse scenario applies. You sell when your training tells you the price is going to fall. You can then close after a price lowering of however-many pips.

How Being Too Successful Can Hurt You

In my previous WealthMountains Issue 3 (Sep 05), I shared with you a successful Intenet concept that had taken the Internet by the storm.

Back in Sep 05, the site owner Alex Tew (21 year old) earned US$143,000 with this simple concept. Within a short span of less than 4 months, he had hit the target revenue of $1 million. Check out his site at Million Dollar Homepage. His simple concept is that he will rent out spots on this site for a small fee of $1 for each pixel (1 pixel = 1 small dot on your screen). Each of this spot is guarantee to be online for at least 5 years.

To his customers, this represents a tremendous savings considering the exposure that they will get over 5 years. Hence, the site was a run-away success. Word-of-mouth support has also aided in its explosure. In Robert Cialdini's Influence: Science & Practice (which I strongly recommend you read up), Alex marketed his website based on the principles of:

social proof
likings

Anyway, back to this simple concept of selling pixel. With the success and publicity given to Alex's site, he had attracted the unwanted attention of extortionists who knocked the site over with a massive denial-of-service attack. Alex was ransomed a few times. Police were called in. To cut the story short, Alex did not pay the ransom. Several counter-measures were taken. So what can we learn from this?

We can gain 3 lessons from this. You might want to think about it when rolling out your Internet Business:

Lesson 1: Spread your eggs into mutliple baskets
As you grow more successful, setup multiple websites to sell your products (or earn commisions from affiliates/Google program). Don't leave all your products on 1 page. If that website goes down, so does your whole business. I had enough horrors stories to know that we need to take preventive-measures for this.
Lesson 2: Where possible, do not reveal your complete earnings online
Usually when you reveal your COMPLETE earnings online, you invite the unwanted attentions. If you are earning big bucks, they will know that you are a target that can pay. Alex was ransomed $50,000 multiple times.
Lesson 3: Do not release your trade secret too soon
The script that had made "Million Dollar Homepage" so successful was made available to public shortly after it was launched. This has created multiple other similar websites. Instead, Alex should have waited until he hit his minimum target before releasing the script.

The above 3 lessons are not comprehensive but by using them, you would go a further way to protect your success in the online world.

Recently I was researching online on how to better enhance my website to encourage buyers to make the purchase. I came about this findings.

A visitor who uses 4-words in the search engine is more likely to make a purchase online then compare to other wordings. What this means is that you should try to optimise your website with 4-keywords. However, this does not mean you should forgo optimise 1-word, 2-word or 3-word for your website. It is jsut that the effectiveness will be reduced.

It's not true that everything that has been said has already been written. Since that unfortunate axiom came into use, the whole universe has changed. Technology has changed, ideas have changed, and the mindsets of entire nations have changed.

The fact is that this is the perfect time to write an ebook. What the publishing industry needs are people who can tap into the world as it is today - innovative thinkers who can make the leap into the new millennium and figure out how to solve old problems in a new way. Ebooks are a new and powerful tool for original thinkers with fresh ideas to disseminate information to the millions of people who are struggling to figure out how to do a plethora of different things.

Let's say you already have a brilliant idea, and the knowledge to back it up that will enable you to write an exceptional ebook. You may be sitting at your computer staring at a blank screen wondering, "Why? Why should I go through all the trouble of writing my ebook when it's so impossible to get anything published these days?

Well, let me assure you that publishing an ebook is entirely different than publishing a book in print. Let's look at the specifics of how the print and cyber publishing industry differ, and the many reasons why you should take the plunge and get your fingers tapping across those keyboards!

Submitting a print book to conventional publishing houses or to agents is similar to wearing a hair shirt 24/7. No matter how good your book actually is, or how many critique services and mentor writers have told you that "you've got what it takes," your submitted manuscript keeps coming back to you as if it is a boomerang instead of a valuable mine of information.

Perhaps, in desperation, you've checked out self-publishing and found out just how expensive a venture it can be. Most "vanity presses" require minimal print runs of at least 500 copies, and even that amount will cost you thousands of dollars. Some presses' minimal run starts at 1,000 to 2,000 copies. And that's just for the printing and binding. Add in distribution, shipping, and promotional costs and - well, you do the math. Even if you wanted to go this route, you may not have that kind of money to risk.

Let's say you already have an Internet business with a quality website and a quality product. An ebook is one of the most powerful ways to promote your business while educating people with the knowledge you already possess as a business owner of a specific product or service.

For example, let's say that you've spent the last twenty-five years growing and training bonsai trees, and now you're ready to share your knowledge and experience. An ebook is the perfect way to reach the largest audience of bonsai enthusiasts.

Ebooks will not only promote your business - they will help you make a name for yourself and your company, and establish you as an expert in your field. You may even find that you have enough to say to warrant a series of ebooks. Specific businesses are complicated and often require the different aspects to be divided in order for the reader to get the full story.

Perhaps your goals are more finely tuned in terms of the ebook scene. You may want to build a whole business around writing and publishing ebooks. Essentially, you want to start an e-business. You are thinking of setting up a website to promote and market your ebooks. Maybe you're even thinking of producing an ezine..

One of the most prevalent reasons people read ebooks is to find information about how to turn their Internet businesses into a profit-making machine. And these people are looking to the writers of ebooks to provide them with new ideas and strategies because writers of ebooks are usually people who understand the new cyberspace world we now live in. Ebook writers are experts in Internet marketing campaigns and the strategies of promoting and distributing ebooks. The cyberspace community needs its ebooks to be successful so that more and more ebooks will be written.

You may want to create affiliate programs that will also market your ebook. Affiliates can be people or businesses worldwide that will all be working to sell your ebooks. Think about this? Do you see a formula for success here?
Figure out what your subject matter is, and then narrow it down. Your goal is to aim for specificity. Research what's out there already, and try to find a void that your ebook might fill.

What about an ebook about a wedding cake business? Or an ebook about caring for elderly pets? How about the fine points of collecting ancient pottery?

You don't have to have three masters degrees to write about your subject. People need advice that is easy to read and easily understood. Parents need advice for dealing with their teenagers. College students need to learn good study skills - quickly. The possibilities are endless.

Getting your ebook out is going to be your focus once you've finished writing it, just as it is with print books. People will hesitate to buy any book from an author they've never heard of. Wouldn't you?

The answer is simple: give it away! You will see profits in the form of promoting your own business and getting your name out. You will find affiliates who will ask you to place their links within your ebook, and these affiliates will in turn go out and make your name known. Almost every single famous ebook author has started out this way.

Another powerful tool to attract people to your ebook is to make it interactive. Invent something for them to do within the book rather than just producing pages that contain static text. Let your readers fill out questionnaires, forms, even crossword puzzles geared to testing their knowledge on a particular subject. Have your readers hit a link that will allow them to recommend your book to their friends and associates. Or include an actual order form so at the end of their reading journey, they can eagerly buy your product.

When people interact with books, they become a part of the world of that book. The fact is just as true for books in print as it is for ebooks.

That's why ebooks are so essential. Not only do they provide a forum for people to learn and make sense of their own thoughts, but they can also serve to promote your business at the same time.

Snow Wolf Lake - the important lessons that I learnt

This is an off-topics page from my usual WealthMountains site. I will not be discussing about money-making techniques or tips here. Instead, I will touch on another aspect of WealthMountains, "Family Growth". Without a family, even if you amass enormous wealth, you will feel empty. Spent special time with your family as what I did. Create memories.

Today is the 18 Sep 05. I had just spent a joyous and memorable night out with my wife. Today is also the mid-autumn festival. In Chinese history, this symbolizes a day where family gathers around for quality time. I did just that today.

After working non-stop over a few weeknights and weekends on my Internet business, I decided to stop for a while and spent some time with my wife. We took time out for eating moon-cake celebration (part of mid-autumn festival). Did some shopping as well.

This was followed by "Snow Wolf Lake", a musical by the versatile Hong Kong singer and actor Jackie Cheung. A combination of pop music and a Hollywood-style musical, the mandarin version of "Snow Lake Wolf" stars Jackie Cheung, Nnadia Chan and Evonne Hsu. Jackie said that he joined the production because it might be his only chance to make a musical soundtrack. "Snow Wolf Lake" has been applauded as one of the most important Chinese-language musicals since its debut in 1997.

And I must say this was a really great musical. The memories of our joys and tears during this whole musical will be a memory that we share together. Such memories are priceless. From the musical, I learnt that we need to treasure our love ones while they are still alive. I didn't understand this point previously even though my mentor, Robert Allen, had stressed on it a few times before during our weekly phone talks.

Hence, do remember to spent quality time with your families. Created more happy and lasting memories with them. This will make your life more meaningful. Your pursue for wealth will have another dimension added to it. Life is about balance.

2. Internet: How to Grow Your List and Grab Free Gifts

I guess you must have hear about this for many times already. One of the way to grow your Internet Business is to have your own mailing list. In Robert's words, you need to have your own fishing pool.

There are various ways to do so. One of the technique is through Joint Venture (JV) with others. Review of Secret Money Generator (Part 2)

This is a followup of my previous posting Review of Secret Money Generator (Part 1) and Secret Money Generator is selling out fast!.

I have been testing out this tool and I must say it does take some learning time. But you gets it, generation and update is easy. I usually update it once every month (for the past 2 months of my testing). I took around 15 minutes for each update. This includes downloading the latest datafeed from my supplier site, fine-tuning some of the descriptions, uploading to my site and re-generating the site.

The speed and ease was something that I can handle if I roll this out to numerous of my site. If I were to summarize my testing, it would be as follow:

Pros:
- Easy to use once setup is completed

- Generated many pages at a click of button which can promote your affiliates program

- search engine would not treat it as spam since this are useful information BUT you must remember to customize the template (this is critical and I cannot stress enough). This is so that your site will be different from other website that uses this tool, the same template and from the same supplier. In fact, the pages that are indexed in the search engine are still there after this 2 months and it is still increasing.
Cons:
- Setup was a really painful process for me. However, the support provided was instanteously and my problems was resolved very quickly through the online support system. I must say I am impressed.

- Check your supplier's company stability. During the period of my testing, one of the suppliers (the magazines site) decided to close shop. However, this is not a problem as you could easily look for another source quckly and just update your site easily within 30 minutes. In fact, I did a last check and found that there was at least another 2 sites that offer magazines datafeed.

- Search engine indexing. I find that this is slow. I got around this by using Google sitemap and I also created a sitemap so that the search engine and visitors to my site can be channelled to my online store easily and quickly.
Conclusion:
Overall, I am happy with this tool. But I would proposed that you only sell items which are of higher values. Your effort spent trying to sell $10+ items may not see huge profits. You would also need to focus on getting a really niche market in which the crowd is willing to pay online and does not have easy access to such products. Only with these two points, will you be very successful in this market, for that market any business on the internet.

If you search from all the datafeeds, I am sure you will be able to identify niches that meet the above 2 criterias. Happy hunting! :)

How to improve links popularity (part 2)

It has been 3 weeks since I submitted my first article (ie. "How To Turn Disadvantages Of A Reverse Mortgage To Your Advantage") to the article directories. The number of times it has appeared on the 3 main search engines are:

Google: 169 (12)
Yahoo: 40 (24)
MSN: 17 (17)

The number in bracket is the number of sites which are not duplicated. This is so as some of these sites posted multiple links to the article on many of its pages. Hence the search engine does not count this in its search results.

The results has flunctuated over the past 3 weeks peaking at 300+. On analysis, I found that this was caused as some of the sites uses RSS feeds to provide dynamic update to their webpage. This sudden peak will subside over time. Hence, I am more interested in those sites that are providing static pages. I will be contacting this website webmaster in another 2 months time once the results has stablised.

How to improve links popularity!

You need to have a lot of incoming links from high Google PR sites to improve your links popularity in Google. Google will also reward you further if those links are from websites with similar theme.

One of the ways to improve your website links popularity is by submitting article to various articles directories. How it works is that you can add your own resource box at the end of each article with a link back to your site. If other webmaster pick up your articles and re-publish on their site, you will have more incoming links.

I have started my testing last evening on 4 Jul 05 and posted to 4 article directory. I was glad that they have accepted my article. On Ezine Article, I was flattered to earn their "Expert Author status". The article has also been sent to their exclusive EzineArticles RSSFeed and to their proprietary EzineArticles Email Alert Members. Hope this helps in my link buildup.

You can read the article "How To Turn Disadvantages Of A Reverse Mortgage To Your Advantage" which was submitted/accepted at ArticleCity, Ezine Articles, Goarticles, iSnare and Articles Factory today.

I did a check at the search engine just 5 hours after it was accepted at this directories. I summarized as followed:

Google: 0
Yahoo: 0
MSN: 3 links

Will be posting the updates at a later date to see if this really helps in my incoming links buildup.

Testing Google Sitemap tool for getting indexed in Google

It has been almost 16 days since I last created myStore using Secret Money Generator. That was 1,500+ pages in total for this new section in mysite. Although Google, Yahoo and MSN bots has visited my site, they were not able to pick up those new pages. This was frustrating as I have set it up such that now Google is attracted to visit my site regularly.

Since then, I had also created the following new links

Directory Exchange for automatically managing my links exchange with partners (this is to increase my site popularity links). If your website is similar to the theme of my website, you can also exchange site link with me. Just click on the "Add Your Site" link at the relevant sections.
Personal Finance section for my compilation of articles, tips and guides for managing your personal finance.

The above site was not getting indexed too. :(

After reading around and getting updates from Mark Hendricks and the other gurus like Paul Short, I started experimenting with Google Sitemap (beta) tool. Within 48 hours of submitting my sitemap, Google started indexing those other sections of my site (this was not during the usual round of visit by Google as what I see from my logs). Within days, the number of pages indexed grew steadily. It nows starts at 266 (a big jump from 150 previously). I will be monitoring this more closely over the next few days.

Just in case you are interested to try out Google Sitemap (beta) tool, you need to do the following:

Create a sitemap for your whole website. It took me 30 mins to create mine on a broadband connections. I highly recommend this free tool from SoftPlus GSiteCrawler by Johannes Mueller. You can download this 20MB file from http://johannesmueller.com/gs/. This only works on Windows 2000 or XP.
Upload your new sitemap (in XML) format to the root of your website. This means that to the search engine, your sitemap will be at http://www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml.
Go on over to Google Sitemap (beta) at https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/login and login. You would need a Google (free) account. which you can apply at that same page. After you log in, just submit your sitemap details.
After the above actions, have patience and wait for a few days. Monitor your logs more closely and go over to Google and type in "site:www.yourdomain.com" to see if the number of pages for your website has increased. (replace www.yourdomain.com with your own website URL). Some of my other partners has also reported that it took them 72 hours before their site got indexed in Google. Hence, the results might be different for you.

You can check my status anytime by going to Google and type in "site:www.wealthmountains.com". Most probably, I will report back again in another few days to see how it goes.

Once more of myStore get indexed, I will do a review on the effectiveness for my testing on the Secret Money Generator product. Do stay tuned.

I took a longer time than expected due to mainly the following reasons:

I was tweaking the template to fit in with my website. This tweaking itself took me 3 to 4 days. I could use the default template but that would have defeated the purpose of my testing. After all the modifications, I must say I am happy with the results.

As a bonus to us, Mark has given us the Secret Traffic Generator as a free tool. (most appreciated!) I was excited by this as this will help to rotate the content on my site. You hit "Refresh" on myStore and you will see that my Packaged Recommendation on the right side is always updated. I got so carried away with this that I took a few days to play with it, trying out the various modes. I must say this is a great tool. But your host needs to support SSI (Server Site Include)

I was facing some difficulty in registrating to get the datafeed from the merchants. Thereafter I also spent some time trying to understand on how to use the file with Secret Money Generator. Although it looks difficult at first, after I got the hang of it, it was quite smooth and I generated 1,350 pages in 3 seconds. That's fast.

I will be submitting this site to Search Engine and will be observing how it performed over the next few weeks. Thereafter, I can wrap up my reviews of Secret Money Generator. Hence, do check back.

After putting off for a long time, I finally got my blog up. :)

This was after I compare Blogger and MSN Spaces blogging site. In the end, I decided to go with Blogger. In the next few postings, I will share the reasons why I choose Blogger over MSN Spaces. Getting Blogger up and working to the way I like it took me about 4 hours (yes, I am a picky person.) Blogger offers tons of features that we can use to configure. This meet my needs.
